I wasn't planning on watching Watchmen - Frankly the trailers looked stupid.

But, in a fit of boredom - I did.

I liked it!

I found it to be dark and sad and oddly compelling....

Having never read the comics I felt left out in a way I can't explain - but still enjoyed the movie. The music was fabulous - and I liked the subtle details.. like the smiley face on the surface of Mars.

Yes, I was VERY happy with the movie.

I didn't mind the changes at all they where a little more believable.

I wish I could have those 3 hours of my life back.

While it did have some really good parts, there were just to many that seemed like they were just draging ass. But hey diff taste for diff peeps.

i think the biggest misconception of people that went to see the movie was that it was a 'Summer Blockbuster' movie. IE actions, explosions, etc. like transformers. most of those people never read the graphic novel the movie was based on, and they were sorely disappointed.

I feel a little sad for them, as the movie was as good of adaptation of the novel as could be expected in a 3 hour block of time. And i agree with Frel, the changes that were made i'm ok with for the most part. I'd recommend it to other people, but only with the caveat that they go into it expecting a thinking movie, not an action one.

<-- didnt have the idea it was an epic pewpew movie. Thought it was going to be more suspense / thriller / who done it kind of thing... I guess .
